Pat Teters - Ranch Manager
Many of you have known Pat Teters for a number of years. Pat was raised in Denver and spent many of his summers in Yampa working with his father and brothers on the ranch just West of Eagle Rock Ranch.
In 1993, Pat and his wife Sylvia moved to the Yampa Valley full time. Pat worked for the city of Yampa until 1995 when he was hired by the previous owners to operate the guest Ranch. In 1999, the current owners agreed to purchase the Ranch if Pat would be willing to stay on and help manage the Ranch for them.
After 18 years on the Ranch Pat is still going strong. As many of you know Pat is primarily responsible for the changes and improvements that have been implemented over the years. Pat has developed considerable knowledge about the high altitude fishery, our ranching operations and guest satisfaction. Much heart-filled gratitude is extended to Pat for his hard work over the years.
If there is anything that can be done to make your stay more enjoyable please let him know.
In our opinion, it is a true blessing to be on the water fishing or relaxing with family and friends, watching the sun rise or fall on the horizon.
To be so lucky as to cast a fly on the water, only to have the guiet calm, surface suddenly explode with a big Brown eating your fly like a hungry dragon from the deep.
While this may take some patience on your part, there are few things in life that bring more pleasure, reward or peace than being at Eagle Rock Ranch during those special moments in the day.
For us, its about finding those special times at the Ranch when fishing, hunting, hiking or on horse back, maybe its first light and we hear the Elk bugling just above in Wheeler Basin or a cool evening sitting fireside on a star-filled night.
It is in these rare moments, that we find ourselves captivated, a bit in awe. We become subtlety aware that just maybe... we are experiencing what God intended one to feel when he created a place on earth like Eagle Rock Ranch.
Welcome!
